Muzzle loaders; Gundog Demos by the CLA Irish Team; Free Flying Falconry; Long Netting Display; Cochise horses; Carriage Driving &
Running Horses; Fly Casting Demos: Horse and Hound Displays; North Irish Dragoons with cannon , muskets and sabres; dog agility;
Keith Mathews – the Dog Guru and Elizabethan Pike & Gun Display by the Best of Times, Worst of Times
Continuous Events (10.00 am to 6.00pm):
Go for Game Game & Fishery Cookery Demonstrations by Emmett Mc Court in the Flogas Kitchen on the Irish
Countrysports and Country Life magazine stand.
Living History Village situated amongst the towers and battlements of the old Shanes Castle: Living History
Displays including fire-eating, juggling,face painting; cooking, weapon making etc, Meet the Dragoons, and their chargers;
enjoy the Elizabethan Household of the Best of Times, Worst of Times - and discuss living and fighting wars in that period;
experience Viking living with Finglas Living History Society.
Gundog Competitions: Ireland's Largest Canine Extravaganza
The Largest and most varied Dog Weekend in Ireland featuring A REAL international gundog competition with teams from Holland,
Wales and the ROI taking on the Ulster Select and an NI team in the Feedwell International team and individual tests; 10 teams
of golden retrievers from all over the UK taking part in the Golden Retriever Interclub Test; Dog & Gun event; Cocker and
Springer Spaniel Tests; Gundog Scurry; Gundog Group Dog Show; Dog Agility Show & Demos; Plus main arena demonstrations including
World Record Attempt and problem dog clinic by Keith Mathews, BBC's Dog Guru.
Terriers & Lurchers – The Final of the Redmills Master Mc Grath Challenge to find the faster Lurcher in the
UK and Ireland plus the 24th All Ireland Terrier & Lurcher Championships.
Clay Pigeon Shooting: The final of the all Ireland Fair Fair Clay Pigeon Championships.
Angling: Casting competitions (sponsored by Hardy Greys ). Qualifier for the Pat Burns Memorial Trophy and all
Ireland Game Fair Casting Championships to be held at Birr Castle and a qualifying heat the Barbour All Ireland Novice Fly Casting
Championship. Fly Tying demos by APGAI Ireland and Casting clinics run by Glenda Powell and APGAI Ireland.
Equestrian: The Cochise Horses and the fantastic equestrian control exhibited by Franklin Levinson, the legendary
US Horse Whisperer. Horse and Hounds; Mounted Dragoons, Carriage Driving and running horses.
Childrens Entertainment Area: Bouncey Castles, Climbing Walls etc
Game Display; Birds of Prey Display; World of Owls Display
